Lilium oxypetalum var. insigne This variety is considered to be one of the easiest to grow flowering in about 3 years from seed. It has pink to purple flowers on short stems. The name 'oxypetela' means 'sharp petals'. These grow best in a well drained cool site. These are sent out as bare root bulbs from October to March. Once rooted in the pot we tend to sell them in flower at the shows.
